
Qingdao Bureau of Statistics released the paper “The situation of 2011 Qingdao economic operation” on Feb.9th 2012, and according to the preliminary estimates, Qingdao city achieved GDP 661.56 billion Yuan in 2011- an 11.7% increase compared with last year. Annual consumer prices rose 5% as a year-on-year total, while food prices rose 11.1%. The per capita disposable income of urban residents reached 28,567 Yuan- a 14.3% increase compared with last year.
According to data released by Qingdao Bureau of Statistics, we can work out that Qingdao per capita GDP shall exceed US 10,000 Dollars for the first time in 2012, and experts say it marks Qingdao city’s economic development as equaling the same level of moderately developed countries.
