
The first Shandong-Europe flight, passing through Qingdao, Shenyang and Frankfurt, in cooperation with Qingdao airport, Shenyang airport and Deutsche Lufthansa, is scheduled to take off on March 27. The flight will be conducted by Airbus A340-300, departing from Qingdao International Airport. Three flights have been scheduled each week.
The Airbus A340-300 aircraft will take off at 21:05 from Qingdao and arrive in Shenyang at 22:45, then restart the journey at 00:15 scheduled to arrive in Frankfurt at 05:35, local time (Beijing Time 11:35). Returning flights will set off in Frankfurt at 22:15, local time (Beijing time 04:35) and land in Shenyang at 14:30, then take off to Qingdao at 15:40 and land at 17:25.
Deutsche Lufthansa will be the air carrier, with an already established strong international network. For its business in Mainland China, in addition to the mature and deep operation and management in the 1st Tier cities of Beijing and Shanghai, Lufthansa plan to expand its business to open new routes in 2nd Tier cities including Qingdao, Shenyang, Chengdu and Shenzhen. The opening of the Qingdao-Shenyang-Frankfurt route will greatly expand Lufthansa's airline service in north China and further consolidate its status as the leading European airline within China.
